Slay the Stage judge and pro vocal coach Kelsey Chevarie is known for her straight-talk advice and hilarious microphone accidents, but on Duet Week she showed the crowd she can sing.

The song was a cover of the powerful ballad by Sara Bareilles titled 'She Used to Be Mine.'

"This song is about someone who has really lost themselves. Six years ago, I was in a terrible marriage and I was as lost as they come," she explained. "I really resonate with this song."

This is Kelsey's second time judging Slay the Stage, as she helped crown Jasmine Bernier as the winner back in 2017.

"I wanted Duet Week to happen because, at the first Slay the Stage, we did Duet Week and it was the best show I had ever seen, so I want to recreate some of that magic," she explained.

Kelsey's Duet Week took place July 22nd and saw Chico become the next contestant eliminated from the contest.
