FORMAT
SONG CHOICES: Singers are asked to have at minimum (3) songs chosen each week. Song choices are always made by the contestant. Artists, genres or other themes may be predetermined.

THE RED CARD: If the judges decide they don't like the song a contestant is singing, they can each raise a Red Card, indicating they want to stop the song. If all three judges raise the Red Card, the song stops and the singer must select a new song from their list and start over. Points earned from the first song are discarded.

THE SPOTLIGHT: Singers at risk of going home are put under the Spotlight. They perform one last time for the judges, without any additional commentary. The judges will then decide who from the Spotlight will go home.

TWISTS: Twists are unpredictable elements of the show that determine its theme & format for a given week. (i.e. duet week, songs from a given decade, singing without the lyrics, etc.)
